Cricut News...

Have you seen the new seasonal carts that Provo Craft is coming out with? They are too adorable and the best part is that they will retail for around $20! Awesome!

Some other news...

Provo Craft has decided to stop making Solution Cartridges. They still carry the ones they have, just won't be creating any additional carts.

They have also decided to change the Kitchen & Bath and European Décor to full cartridges and those will be released sometime in 2010.

Thank you to Cindy at Stamping Scrapping for this bit of info!\

A Little More Info on the Gypsy...

I have posted a couple of places for you to enter to win a Gypsy, but wouldn't you like to know exactly what you are entering to win?

Craft Critique did an awesome article on the new Gypsy and in my book, even if you don't think you NEED a Gypsy, you should read this article.

We Will Never Forget...

I can hardly believe it has been 8 years since the 9/11 attacks. Eight years later, this is still the saddest day. I can still remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when that first plane hit. I doubt that i will ever forget that moment or how helpless I felt.

Please take time today to remember the Heroes who lost their lives on that day as well as those who have lost their lives in this war and those who continue to serve our country fighting for our freedom and safety.

Please say a prayer for ALL of our Heroes and their families today.

For this project I used:

Scent My Cards Winter Wishes Stamp Set

Scent My Cards Scent-a-Mints Stamp Set

Scent My Cards How Ya Bean stamp Set

Martha Stewart Drippy Goo Punch (I think that the Icicles Punch would work better but I don't have it yet :)

White Gel Pen (swirls on the house)

I’m pretty sure the paper is from last year’s Christmas collection by K & Company

DCWV Glitter Cardstock in White

I paper pieced the house itself.

The Epic Six

I got my Epic Six about a month ago when it was first released and I have to tell you - I LOVE IT! I was a bit skeptical when I first took it out of the box, but no more - it's fabulous!!

I did a short video demo to show you how it works and the types of things it will cut. I also wanted to mention that if you have been thinking about purchasing this tool, NOW IS THE TIME! If you order before August 31st you will get a rebate for a FREE 6" die from Quickutz!

So without further ado, here is the video...

When Life Gives You Limes...

Make Margaritas!!!

I just can't stop using the new 100 per/scent stamp set from Scent My Cards!!

For this card I used the Lemonade paper pack from Basic Grey and cut 1 1/2" squares from several of the papers. I then started in the center of the card and worked my way out in a quilt pattern.

I took a fine tip brown marker and created the look of stitching around each of the squares.

I finished it off with some Basic Grey Bling!

For the margarita glass I used the Quickutz adhesive backed vellum. I stamped my image and cut it out and then I ran it through my Epic Six with an embossing folder from Quickutz. The adhesive backed vellum is the most awesome product! I have always had issues with finding an adhesive that didn't show through the vellum, but this solves that problem! It also looks cool when it's embossed :)

Well that's it for today! Have a wonderful Friday!!

An American Crafts layout...

My two favorite products from American Crafts are Flair and Paper and this layout definitely has plenty of both!

This layout was completely inspired by the American Crafts paper that has kites all over it. it's from their Backyard collection and is called "Quack". I thought that it worked perfectly with the photos of my husband and daughter flying a kite!

My Supply List:

American Crafts Backyard Collection paper: Quack, Ribbit, Pop
American Crafts Craft Collection paper: Faye Needleworth
American Crafts Everyday Collection Paper: Howdy
American Crafts Flair: Fashion Flair Cool, Everyday Flair Smile
American Crafts Thickers - Vera font in taffy.
Basic Grey Bling (pink)
Papertrey Ink Hibiscus Burst Ribbon
Quickutz Silhouette was used to cut the sun.
Stampin' Up Ticket corner punch was used to do the corners on the journaling block. As soon as the new Corner Chomper is available I will be trading in my SU punch for it!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
