I just want you to know that you are beautiful and you are strong!
We live in a time where people carelessly throw hate in all directions. It seems that everywhere you turn there is someone tearing another person down because of their beliefs or words or simply because of the way they look.When it comes down to it, regardless of age, race, gender or status, we are all human beings created in the same way by the same maker. What happened to kindness and thinking before you speak or act? What happened to treating others with respect and the Golden Rule?
My sweet daughter is in middle school, which is quite possibly the worst time in every girl's adolescence. She has witnessed several of her friends being teased and has also taken some grief herself. She wanted to put loving words out there for all of her friends so we purchased 200 bracelets with the words "You are beautiful" and "You are strong" on them. These were the words that she thought her friends needed to be reminded of often.
I challenge you today to tell someone that they are beautiful and strong. Lift up another human being at the very moment you are tempted to tear them down.
