Last Minute Fathers Day Inspiration...

I've been meaning to post my cards for a few days now, but finally got around to doing it today.

My daughter colored the elephant for this card and I cut it out and attached it to the card so that she could help in making it. Don't you just love that Lime Rickey paper from Basic Grey? :)

I used my Quickutz Silhouette to cut the golf balls, tees, grass and letters. I love that machine!

This card was made using the chipboard trees from Maya Road, the Upper Crest punch from Fiskars and some older Stampin' Up! paper from a hostess set.

Look more Lime Rickey! Love that paper! The Hero Arts Elephants set is my favorite stamp set right now if you can't tell :)

Okay, well that's all for now! Have a wonderful Father's Day weekend!

A Birthday Banner...

Click the photos for larger images.

I have to say I am really enjoying my new Silhouette SD!

This past week, my daughter had a birthday and she decided she wanted an elephant party. Now how is one to throw an elephant party? Well, I decided that I would get her a giant elephant balloon and put an elephant on her cake. Then I remembered that I have this great tool - why not use it? So I did! And I think the banner turned out pretty cute!

I used my Silhouette and designs that were downloaded from the Quickutz store. I alsu used the Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday paper and found an adorable Hero Arts stamp set for the Elephant!

If you are at all hesitating on getting the Silhouette SD - DO IT! I'm so happy with mine!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Memorial Day!

Today is for taking time to remember those who have given their lives to serve our country. So many people have given so much, including their lives, to protect us and our freedoms. I personally am so thankful for these brave men and women.

Lets also take a minute today to say "Thank You" to those who are surviving Veterans or are currently serving in the military. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, for giving of yourselves to keep all of us safe and allow us to lead the wonderful lives that we do!

Thank you. I can't say it any better than that!

Have a wonderful Memorial Day!

Coffee Anyone?

I decided to use my new Scent My Cards stamp set again and created this little card! I'm SO excited at how well it turned out!

I used the coffee cup from the Peachy Keen Scent My Cards set and colored it with my Stampin Up! markers. I really do love how versatile this stamp set is! I can use it for pretty much any occasion and they make an adorable and quick card!! And the Irish Coffee scent went perfect with the images!

I also have to tell you about an awesome new product that I have recently fallen in LOVE with! It's the Tiny Attacher by Tim Holtz. Yes, it's a stapler, but it has these itty bitty staples instead of the standard size and they are so perfect on cards and scrapbook pages!! I used them to attach the ribbon on this card!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hope you are all having a great Memorial Day Weekend!!

A Card full of Cherries...

I just recently got the new Peachy Keen stamp set made exclusively for Scent My Cards. I have to tell you I LOVE this set!! It's so versatile and too cute!

I made this card using the Cherries from the set. I stamped them in Versafine ink and then colored them in with Stampin' Up markers (Certainly Celery & Real Red). I then took the Ranger Perfect Medium Pens and colored in the cherries and used a clear embossing powder over the top to give them a glossy finish.

And of course I finished off the card with the Cherry Scent!

Have a great day!

Scent My Cards Challenge

I'm hosting the current challenge on the Scent My Cards Blog! Here are the details:

I have the greatest Mom. She's supportive of everything I do and loves me unconditionally. What more could a kid ask for right? For this challenge I decided to create a card that was inspired by my Mom. For as long as I can remember, my mom has loved the smell of Lavender. Much of her home is decorated in the colors of Lavender and Sage and every time I see that color combo or smell fresh Lavender, I immediately think of her.

This challenge is simple. Create a card inspired by your Mother or other important figure in your life. No other rules - that's it!

The prize for this challenge will be a bottle of Lavender Sage Scent My Cards!

Good Luck! I can't wait to see what you create!

The contest closes at midnight Eastern Time on May 24th.

Happy Mother's Day!

I LOVE MY SCOR-BUG!!

Hi everyone!

I got my Scor-Bug last week and just HAD to play! I created this Father's Day card for the Hero Arts Blog Distress Challenge. I used the Scor-Pal and Scor-Bug to create the faux stitching on the card. After I used the Scor-bug, I took a fine tip brown marker and connected the holes to make it look like thread!

I was just so excited that i had to share!!

I'm hoping to get a video filmed on this later this week so stay tuned!

Have a great day!
