Life is a little busy in my house right now, but I wanted to stop and share a project with you anyway!
I used the Cricut Mini Monsters cartridge for the card as well as the cat. I'm not really into all of the scary Halloween stuff so this is about as "spooky" as I get.
The stamp set I used is from Hero Arts and it's called Happy Halloween. It's wonderful because it has a TON of Halloween sentiments in it! Love it!
I am finally back to crafting! I am LOVING my new room! It makes the whole process SO much easier!
For this card I used the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge for that ADORABLE owl! I absolutely LOVE how easy the cuts from this cart are to assemble!
The paper is from October Afternoon's Thrift Shop 8x8 paper pad.
The ribbon is American Crafts.
The adorable Have a Hoot! sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Acrylic Stamps. Here is the image of the full set:
I really love this set because it works so well with many of the Cricut cartridges. They also have several other adorable sets for sale on their website HERE. Their customer service is amazing too!
In my thoughts and prayers today, are all those who were affected by the 9/11 terror attacks. Please know that you and your loved ones are not forgotten. You are all hero's in my eyes and your sacrifices have not gone unnoticed.
To all of those who give of themselves to serve our country every day - the words "Thank You" just don't seem to be enough. I am so thankful for your sacrifice and bravery.
Looks like Provo Craft will be releasing 3 new Seasonal cartridges for the holidays! They are Thanksgiving, Christmas Cards and Christmas Village. I am definitely going to need ALL of these!!
I am having way too much fun with this Create a Critter cartridge! I may never use the rest of my carts again! (I'm kidding!)
This card was so very easy! I used some scraps from the DCWV Nana's Nursery stack for the background and the stamp is from Stampin Up!
I sat down and made a few different animals at about 3 1/2" and put them all together. The next evening I came back and went through my paper and designed the card. For me, this works best because when I make a card, I like to have all of my supplies ready to go.
Well PC has done it again! They released 5 more cartridges that I just cannot live without! Oh my poor pocketbook! I don't know the release date just yet, but will update you as soon as I find out!
Happy Hauntings

Simply Charmed To me this looks like a modern Doodlecharms - so cute!

I recently purchased the Martha Stewart Scoreboard and I really like. However, I did not like the fact that the project dimensions were inside the bone folder compartment - on top of the lid where you couldn't possibly read them while working on a project.
Well, I have a solution. I have created a PDF file of the project dimensions that you can simply print, cut and tape to your Scoreboard. Also, for those of you who don't like to read the tiny print, I have created a full page reference with the same info.
So earlier today I told you about Teresa Collins' new Stampmaker machine. Well I wanted to give you some added information that I came across on the 2Peas Messageboard.
According to Amy at The Paper Life, "the machine will retail for $169.99 and consumables for each stamp will be about a $1 ohh and no computer is needed to run the machine".
Another CHA Sneak Peek for you...Teresa Collins Stampmaker
This machine is a stampers DREAM!! You can make your own custom stamps from any design, in the comfort of your own home!! I cannot wait for this to come out!! More information can be found on Teresa Collins blog HERE
I just wanted to share a CHA Sneak Peek that I discovered this morning... These are new stamps from Tim Holtz! My guess is that they coordinate with his Ticket Sizzix Die too - wouldn't that be AMAZING!! These are a MUST HAVE for me!
He has quite a few new stamp sets coming out. Here are the links if you would like to check them out:
I wanted to share a layout that I made for the My Pink Designer call. I was not chosen as one of her designers, so I'm hoping its now okay to post my project :) For this layout I used:
Once Upon a Princess for the doll. Peachy Keen Stamps Princess Face Assortment for her face. Cricut Plantain Schoolbook cartridge for the waves Cricut Create a Critter for everything else.
I have to say that I was really surprised at how many different cuts are on the Create a Critter cartridge. It has quickly become one of my favorite cartridges!
I hope you are all having a wonderful day! It's been a little crazy here lately as we have been hit with severe storms several times this week. We even lost power for nearly 24 hours! Let me tell you - I took electricity for granted! I realize now how much we really rely on it to function in our daily life.
Okay so on to the crafty stuff :)
I created this card for the Peachy Keen Challenge on their blog. I have recently fallen in love with their cute little face stamps! I use my Paper Doll and Princess Cricut cartridges SO much more now that I don't have to worry about drawing the faces on them!
So I wasn't sure if I liked the Just Because Cricut cartridge at first, however, after playing with it a little bit - I LOVE IT! Here are a couple of cards that I created (in a matter of minutes) with this cart...
Seems I have been on a poster making kick lately! I thought I would share some photos..
This one was made using the Disney Cars & Plantain Schoolbook cartridges...
For this one I used the Cricut Songbird, Sentimentals, Serenade & Plantain Schoolbook cartridges... The last one was made using Everyday Paper Dolls & Plantain Schoolbook cartridges...
I picked up the white foam board at the dollar store so it's an easy and CHEAP project :)
Here is the card that I made for the most recent challenge at My Pink Stamper.
This card was so easy! I used the Cricut Paper Doll cartridge for the hockey sticks and the puck. I added some faux stitching and chipboard letters and voila!
I have been working extremely hard on a Disney album for my in-laws. They gave us the trip to Disney for Christmas this year and I thought that the album would be a wonderful "thank you" gift!
Here are a couple of the pages. I will share more in the next couple of days!
For the Cars page, I cut Mater and the logo from the Cars Cricut Cartridge. The font used on the journaling is Walt Disney Script, which is a free font that you can find if you "Google" search it.
On the Animal Kingdom Page, I used the Cricut Plantain Schoolbook cartridge for the grass. The tree and elephants were cut with SCAL from the actual Animal Kingdom logo. I am not sure which font I used for the "on safari" sorry :(
The album size is 8x8 in case you were wondering :)
I just wanted to quickly share a few projects that i made for Valentine's Day! The first are for my daughter's classmates at school. I created this card, envelope and treat bag for all of the girls in her class. For the treat bags I used the Forever Young and Doodletype Cricut Cartridges. I have to tell you that these little bags are SO easy to make!! The card and envelope are from the Sentimentals Cricut cartridge and the Ariel die cut is from the Dreams Come True cartridge.
Next are the gifts that I made for the teachers at my daughters school. The card, envelope and owl are all from the Sentimentals Cricut cartridge. I love that owl!! The candy wrappers are just patterned paper and a scallop circle punch - so easy!!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you all had a wonderful Valentines Day!
Today is my mom's birthday! She turns 50 this year, although I don't think anyone would guess that as her age :) I think she still looks 35 and I hope that I age even half as well! So today I wanted to share with you the card and envelope that I made for my mom for her birthday!I used the Cricut Sentimentals cartridge for both the card and envelope. The numbers are from the Hannah Montana cartridge and the Mom on the front of the envelope is from the Mother's Day cartridge.
I had a lot of fun making this card, and LOVED using my Gypsy so that I didn't have to switch cartridges 3 times!!
The paper is from an SEI stack that I picked up at Michael's for a whopping $4!!
It's been awhile since I posted and that's because my family spent two weeks in sunny Florida! We traveled down to visit my in-laws and to take my daughter to Disney World. What a great trip!
So anyway on to the crafting stuff that you are really visiting my blog for ;)
Now that CHA is done, I am curious to know; what was your favorite product released at this show?
Mine HAS to be the new embossing folders from Tim Holtz! I am also loving the new Alterations dies especially the Flowers!!
You can view all of the Alterations dies and Embossing folders HERE. Well that's all I've got for today! I'm sure you will be seeing lots of Disney themed pages from me in the near future though!!
Cosmo Cricket has lots of new stuff too! I think "Garden Variety" is my favorite of the new collections!! They are also releasing core'dinations papers with some of their patterns embossed on them!! Here is the link: http://cosmocricket.typepad.com/cosmo_cricket/
My Little Shoebox has a video and a few layouts on their blog to showcase their new CHA releases. these are just too cute! Check it out here: http://www.mylittleshoebox.typepad.com/
Making Memories just released images of their new Love Struck collection. According to their blog this product should be at retailers by the end of the month!
I created this little Valentine card for my daughter's friends at school. I used the Cricut Paisley cartridge for the adorable frog - I just love him! I even added some Stickles for a little "bling". I am going to use my computer to print the wording for the inside and it will say: "You Are Toad-ally Awesome".
These were super easy to make! I put together 6 in about a half hour and that included cutting time!
I hope that you have a safe and Happy New Year! It looks like we will be snowed in here today so I will probably have a project or two to post by tomorrow!
For the new year I really want to become a more faithful poster to my blog. Finding the time to craft has become difficult for me in past months, but I intend to change that by using what free time I have more wisely.
Thank you for continuing to check out my blog and my projects! I wish you and your families the very best for the New Year!
