I Heart my Knifty Knitter!

Good Morning!

I have been MIA from my blog for a little bit and that's because I have been kept busy by my new found love of...knitting of all things!

I purchased the Knifty Knitter bundle from HSN last week and was knitting my first scarf within minutes of the box arriving at my door!

I know I sound like an infomercial, but honestly I am the most challenged person when it comes to coordination. Even with my mom's help, I could never get the hang of knitting with needles.

There are some great videos on Youtube that show you how to cast on and off of the loom and that made it so much easier. The loom does come with written instructions, but I am more of a visual person so the videos worked best for me.

Here are a couple of my favorite videos to get you started knitting your first scarf. You will want to watch them in order.

Quite honestly, the HSN bundle is a steal at around $30 including shipping to your door. However, JoAnn's does carry the looms and if you want to start by making a scarf, it will cost you less than $10 including your yarn.

Here are the materials that you will need to knit a scarf. This particular loom already comes with the pick and needle. You will also need a crochet hook and yarn of your choice.

Here is the HSN bundle. It has an enormous amount of looms, and if you were to buy them all separately it would probably cost you triple the amount. This bundle comes with everything you will need to get started except your yarn and a crochet hook.

Well that's about all I have to share with you today. I will get some pictures taken of my first knitting project and post it for you to see.

Have a wonderful day!
