Lookin' Like Christmas - Day 7

I created these place cards for my family's Thanksgiving dinner. You could use these for Thanksgiving, Christmas or any event where you would need a place card.

Supplies Used

Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 2
Spellbinders Nestabilities Circles
Scor-Pal
Scor-Tape
ATG Gun
Cuttlebug Herringbone Embossing folder

How To

The first step is to cut two shapes with the Labels 2 dies. Also cut 1 circle from you Nestabilities Circle dies (you can choose the size to fit your needs) and then use the die that is one size smaller to cut your photo.

I ran one of the Labels 2 dies through my Epic Six with the Herringbone Embossing folder.

Take the other Labels 2 die cut that is NOT embossed and put it on your scor-pal sideways and score at 2 1/2" .

On this same piece, if you choose you can write something to the person or leave it blank.

Now you want to take your Scor-Tape and place it just above the score line that you just made (on the smallest part) and adhere your embossed die cut to the front of this one.

Now you have your place card and all you have to do is adhere your circle and photo and you are finished!

These were VERY easy to make in an assembly line fashion. I think it only took me about 45 minutes to do 12 of them!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a GREAT day!

Lookin' Like Christmas - Day 5

Hi Everyone!

Here is today's card!! Another simple card that is easy to duplicate for Christmas cards!

Supplies Used:

Scent With Love "Label Accents" stamp set
Spellbinders Nestablities Labels 8
Eclipse Tape
Dark Moss & Warm Red Colorbox Chalk Ink
Quickutz Scalloped Border die
Quickutz Epic Six
Paper is from the Imaginesce Christmas line from last year.

I just wanted to share a money saving tip for making your own Christmas cards. Because I make them in larger quantities, I have invested in an ATG gun for the adhesive. I can get adhesive super cheap compared to a regular tape runner! The adhesive for the ATG comes in 36 yard rolls as opposed to my tape runner that has only 40 feet! It has already saved me a ton of money, and I even find myself using it on my everyday projects too!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Lookin' Like Christmas - Day 4

Just under a week until Thanksgiving! Time is just flying by! I don't know about you, but I have a lot of gifts to make in the short amount of time until Christmas! Hopefully I will get them done in time to share them with you here!

Today's card is AGAIN using the Scent With Love stamp set called Label Accents. Yes, this is my favorite stamp set right now!!

Supplies used for this card are

Scent With Love "Label Accents" stamp set
Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 2
Eclipse Tape
Spellbinders Embossing Mat
Quickutz Epic Six
Memento Rose Bud Dye Ink
Paper is from K & Co's Christmas line from last year.

One thing that i have not mentioned in previous posts is how I stamp and cut the images.

- The first thing I do is stamp my image on a good quality cardstock.

- Nest I line up the Nestabilities die over my image and secure it with the Eclipse tape.

- I then flip it upside down and place it on the cutting platform of my Epic Six, with the cutting plate on top and roll it through.

- At this point I carefully remove the tape (because it will show lines from where the tape was when you emboss it) and keep the image inside the die. I then transfer the die with the image in it onto my embossing platform and place the Spellbinders Embossing Mat along with 2 cardstock shims and my cutting plate on top. I then roll it through my machine one time.

- Now the image is stamped and embossed and ready to add to your project!

If you have any questions please feel free to leave me a comment!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

Lookin' Like Christmas - Day 3

Can you tell that I LOVE this stamp set?

For today's card I decided to do a quick gate fold card with a belly band. It's super easy and VERY fast to make!

SUPPLIES

Cardstock cut at 8 1/2" x 5 1/2".

Cardstock cut at 1 1/2" x 8 1/2"

Scor Pal or other scoring device.

Cuttlebug Candy Stripe Embossing Folder

Nestabilities Labels 8

Label Accents stamp set from Scent With Love Stamps

Scor Tape

Colorbox Chalk Ink in Lipstick Red and Dark Moss.

Eclipse Tape

HOW TO

All you have to do is lay the card on your Scor Pal with the 8 1/2" side at the top. You will see two arrows pointing down and that's where you score! Super easy, now you have a gate fold card!

Now for the embossing! I did one flap of the card at a time (did not emboss the back) but I am sure you could probably do both at once if you wanted to.

To make the belly band I tried scoring it, but that didn't work. You want to be able to remove the band somewhat easily from the card to read the inside so you will want it a bit looser than what the scoring allows for. I decided to just wrap it around my card and make little "fold" marks where it needed to be scored. I then took it back to my Scor Pal and scored those marks. I attached it together with Scor Tape to make sure that it wouldn't come apart while being handled.

Now you are ready to stamp your labels and attach them to your belly band!

Super simple right?

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a FANTASTIC day!!

Lookin' Like Christmas - Day 2

Hello Again!

Today's project was inspired by my daughter! She is constantly telling me what she wants from Santa and to be honest, I can't keep track of it all! I decided to make this little Wish List book so that I could write all of those wishes down! I think it will also be fun to look back on it several years from now and see how much things have changed with her wish list! If you don't have little ones, the book could also work for making lists of the gifts that you need to buy or make!

This is honestly the most simple book to make!

SUPPLIES

1 - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of cardstock scored and folded in half (basically a normal A2 card)

Printer paper cut at 8" x 5", scored and folded in half. These are the inside pages and you can decide how many you would like in your book.

Stamps of your choice for the background (I used an Inkadinkado set from last Christmas)

Versamark Ink

Ribbon to wrap around the book

Scor Tape I like this better than the red line tape because it is not as thick and doesn't show a bump under your ribbon. It's also SUPER sticky and you don't have to cut it- you tear it! It's awesome!

Stapler

Mouse pad or piece of foam

Spellbinders Nestabilities 8

Label Accents Stamp Set from Scent With Love Stamps

Eclipse Tape

American Crafts small MerryMint stamp set for the "Wish List" stamp. You may even have a stamp in your own collection that would work just as well!

HOW TO

To get started grab the stamps you would like to use as the background and your Versamark Ink. I do this step first because the Versamark takes some time to dry. You could also emboss the images which would eliminate the drying time.

Now, go ahead and cut and stamp the labels and set them aside.

Back to the book. Now you will need to place your inner pages inside your cover just as you want them. Lay the book out flat on your mouse pad or piece of foam (so that you can see both the front and back cover) and put two staples into the book where you scored it in half.

Now you have a book! Go ahead and put the score tape around the book and adhere the ribbon to it. Be sure to leave some ribbon at the ends if you want to tie it closed.

You are now ready to adhere your labels to the book! I used foam adhesive for this step so that I wouldn't see the line from the ribbon through my labels.

That's it! You're finished and you have an adorable book to keep track of those special gifts!

I would LOVE to see your book and if you would like to email it to me at cwarnke@sbcglobal.net I would be happy to post it here!!

Please feel free to email me or leave a comment with any questions!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a WONDERFUL day!
